* Smart TVs: model year instead of version. Based on the browser versions Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) state for their model years - not checked on every device. Good to know
- Voice input
- Needs internet and microphone access. Recognition is done by the browser (Google, Microsoft or Apple). Firefox cannot do it.
- Voice output
- The available voices depend on the device. On iPhone and iPad only after the first tap in the app. Recordings (e.g. for a 180) play everywhere.
- Camera video
- Sending: phone or tablet at the board with a camera (column “Camera”). Watching in the TV view and the tournament: works wherever the TV view runs - built-in TV browsers are not checked on every model.
- Import / export
- File, link, QR code and transfer code work wherever the app runs. The “Share” button exists on Android, iPhone, iPad and in Safari on the Mac, otherwise the link is copied.
- Screen stays on
- Chrome and Edge from 84, Samsung Internet from 14, Safari from iOS 16.4 (installed app from iOS 18.4), Firefox from 126. Otherwise extend the auto-lock time on the device.
- Full screen
- Everywhere except on the iPhone - install the app there, then it starts without an address bar.
- Vibration
- A short vibration on every input exists only on Android.
- Install
- The app and the tournament site can be added to the home screen as apps of their own: on iPhone via Share → “Add to Home Screen” (in Chrome and Edge from iOS 16.4), on the Mac in Safari from version 17 via File → “Add to Dock”.
- Which version do I have?
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → General → About → iOS Version. Chrome and Edge: menu → Settings → “About Chrome” or “About Microsoft Edge”. Firefox: menu → Help → “About Firefox”. Smart TV: the model year is on the type label or in the menu under Support or Info.
